Shed removal in Babylon, NY
Removing the shed can involve more than the walls. The contents, floor, foundation, utilities, and path out of the yard all belong in the conversation before dismantling begins.
Same-day and next-day openings may be available. Call to check.
Separate the shed from everything around it.
| Part of the project | Discuss in the quote |
|---|---|
| Shed structure | Size, material, roof condition, and whether it needs full dismantling. |
| Stored contents | Tools, furniture, boxes, or debris that also need hauling. |
| Floor and foundation | Wood floor, blocks, gravel, or concrete. Foundation removal is not assumed. |
| Connections and access | Electrical service, nearby fences, gate width, and distance to the truck. |
What we need to see before a demolition quote
A wide view beats a close-up.
Photograph the whole shed, including the roof and base. Take another photo from the gate toward the shed so the carrying distance is clear.
Describe leaning walls, a damaged roof, or areas that appear unstable. Do not enter an unsafe structure just to get an interior photo.
If the shed has power, tell us before scheduling. Appropriate disconnection must be arranged before dismantling.
Want the slab to stay?
Say so. A shed-only removal and a project that also removes the concrete base are different scopes.
Before the shed comes down
Save what you want to keep
Remove personal belongings and clearly identify contents that remain.
Agree on the dismantling and hauling
Confirm whether the quote includes the structure, contents, floor, and any base materials.
Clear a practical route
Make the gate accessible and move movable obstacles out of the carrying path if possible.
Shed removal questions
Can you remove the contents too?
Yes. Photograph and describe them before the quote. A full shed may involve a substantial contents pickup in addition to dismantling.
Is the concrete base included?
Only if specifically agreed. Tell us whether the base should remain or whether you want a separate quote for its removal.
Will the yard be ready for new landscaping?
The agreed dismantling and debris removal does not automatically include grading, digging, or landscaping. Discuss the endpoint you want before booking.
